| ROBERT FARLEYRobert FarleyPrincipal TrumpetHome Town: London, England Robert Farley studied at the Royal College of Music, where he won several prizes including the Ernest Hall Memorial Prize. Robert is now a busy freelance trumpeter playing principal with major orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the London Sinfonietta, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Stuttgart Baroque Orchestra. He is principal trumpet of the Symphony of Harmony and Invention (Orchestra for the Sixteen) and the Hanover Band, and works extensively with period instrument orchestras at home and abroad. Robert’s solo work includes recordings of the Vivaldi Concerto for two trumpets, “Queen of the Night” aria from The Magic Flute, Handel arias with Emma Kirkby and a recording of Bach’s Cantata 51. Robert was soloist on the European Baroque Orchestra’s world tour and has recently performed several recitals with the organist David Titterington. Future engagements include performances at home and abroad of Brandenburg No. 2, Cantata 51 and various recitals.
