Executive Director Camille Kolles Looks Back at the 74th Carmel Bach Festival

Days after the final concert of the 74th Carmel Bach Festival, which ended Saturday night at Sunset Center, the fleeting community of top-flight musicians and singers have flown or driven back to their year-long homes and gigs in New York or Ontario or Texas or wherever. The Sunset Center and other venues that hosted the concerts, talks and recitals, master classes and films, have reverted back to their prior routines (at least as routine as a venue as busy and varied as the Sunset Center gets). But the Bach Festival cottage office, even on Wednesday, was still open and humming with wrap-up work, according to Executive Director Camille Kolles; next week they will close the office in a kind of administrative hibernation until next season.
